We met a bunch of new people today. Everyone there's really friendly and outgoing. Still, it's hard.

I had a nice ride with Dad today. We climbed Usery Pass (3.5 miles) and Dad put the hurt on me. He was doing an LT interval, so I did one too just hanging on to his wheel! Then up a much shorter, steeper hill, I put the hurt on my old man, so the pain was shared equally. We rode for an hour and forty-five minutes. Once again, I sort of bonked near the end. On Saturday, it happened after I ate a bar (about an hour into it). Today, it happened after I ate a bar (about an hour into it). Tomorrow, I will not eat a bar, but instead fuel myself with hammer gel.
I should get to bed now, so I can get in eight hours of sleep and then wake up at five!

We miss you! Oh I think you would've LOVED the A2 trip a couple weeks ago. After the first day all sign of the cliques were gone. And at the church picnic that ended the trip we all were still hanging out together and just having a good time even though our other friends were around and it would've been easy to go back to the groupie thing. It was awesome to see.

Yes she is. So am I. Emily's on her team, which is ridiculous, and so is this kid named Ryan, I think it's Ryan, maybe Bryan, and Jenny, and Alyssa, and a bunch of incoming ninth graders...She's almost the oldest on her team. And there are 80 some people going on Detroit this year so there are going to be 11 teams. And the A2 trip a couple weeks ago was spectacular...
So, one guy and 5+ girls?? Interesting.
Oh, Abby, maybe that's why he was acting the way he did...There might be other boys on her team, I just can't remember her saying any...
And if he's the Ryan I think you're talking about, then he's kinda new. That stinks significantly for him.
Well I'm guessing he's probably new because Abby had never met him and she really doesn't know where he came from. But I have to say I envy his position; do you realize what amazing people are on his team?!!?

Thank you, Kath, for being my spokesperson. She's right, James. Ryan is on my team with two other boys. Molly's my leader again!! Ryan wasn't very friendly though, as hard as Emily and I tried to make him feel welcome. Oh well.
just give him a break. Reminds me of another guy who was surrounded by ladies and wasn't very outgoing either...

He was nicer today!! I mean he actually smiled. I believe we are now making progress.
