The Other Side of Me

Today, I returned to Home School Central. Two weeks ago I missed it because I had strep throat, last week it was Thanksgiving so it didn't happen. So today I returned. And my enthusiastic sarcasm returned to Home School Central.
I can't wait for when my "Mime and Improv" class starts, I know just about everyone in the class.

Clarifying (for Doug)

My mom's tired of us conversing back and forth, so I'm finishing the discussion right now. I'm new to Homeschool Connection. My first class is almost all boys, my second class is mostly boys, my third class is just about all boys, and my fourth class is all girls. Except for one unfortunate male being: ME! At first there was one other boy registered for this class (and this boy is in two of my current classes), but he dropped the class. Instead, he took a Dance class, where he is the only boy. He doesn't mind the girls, but he minded the homework.
I am the youngest in my class, by a few weeks but the ages in the class range for 13-15 years old. Because I am new to Homeschool Connection, I am quiet in the class. But that class is pretty much the only class that I am quiet in.
The interesting thing is that my teacher in this class has heard of my extroverted exploits at Homeschool Central. She isn't sure if it's true.

My mom wants me off the computer, so bye. For now.

Tamed Hurricane(s)

When I was at Wide World (Sports Arena), for my homeschool soccer class, I looked at the standings for my division. The hurricanes are tied for last with one win and three losses. I've missed the past three games and I don't know what is the matter with my team. Because guess who my team was ROUTED by TWICE? An UNDER-TWELVE boys soccer team! And then the Firebolts, whom we beat soundly on game one, beat us in game four. I need to get back and play. My team needs new life. They're falling apart. And on top of that they're losing. What did they lose? Does it matter to them any more? We're going to find out, because we're going to play Saline's U13 "A" team. My team is the "B" team. Grit your teeth.

In my sixth hour class, my teacher was about fifteen minutes late, so I had to listen to the incessant chatter of SEVEN girls for a long time. It was horrible.

And in addition to my misery

I spilled a container containing gravy. Mom wasn't happy. Neither was dad. In fact they were both upset. Spilling thick warm gravy across the kitchen floor does that to you.

Yes my friends, calamity has struck. When I went to clean my bathroom (FYI, Doug, it's right outside my room) I wasn't excited. My interest was sparked when I noticed that the paper towels that I was tossing into the toilet were seeming to clog the toilet. I called to mom, and, upon hearing what I had done, she wigged out. Fortunately, a major flooding did not occur. A minor one did though. And I took a shower. Now I also go to the bathroom (not the bathroom literally, you know what I'm saying) before showering and I made no exception. I flushed the toilet and stood up, singing "Up-side Down Frown" by They Might Be Giants. And then I realized that I had flushed the toilet. And I yelped. I wildly stop the flooding (a little too late) just as my mom started to enter. I managed to get a towel on and hop in the shower. Dad was riding his bike, inside, fortunately and came and "fixed" the damage. Well, I messed up a lot of stuff that I don't care to go into detail with.
It wasn't really good, at all.

Six and Five!

When they won their sixth victor,I figured that the Lions would at least win ten games. And I posted about their greatness. Ithink I jinxed them. If I only stayed quiet and had given the Lions less attention maybe they'd have done better. I don't know, but I know this: we'll never know.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for pizza.

Twas The Day Before Thanksgiving

And I was upset
Because I'd nothing to write of
And if I did I'd forget

It's the day before Thanksgiving, so all of you should be thankful!

I woke up...with strep throat.

Agony...and more Agony

I missed two soccer games tonight. The reason: I have strep throat. In the morning I suffered like a dog. I am usually a good sick kid, but this made me whimper. Truly, it was suffering, but not a fun suffering, as in biking. But now I've got the meds for it, so I'll probably only have one more miserable, agonizing night of torment until I wake up with strep throat any more.

Ever still burning (and chilling)

In the middle of the day, I thought the fever had ceased. But it came roaring back. Not as bad of course, but it's still a fever. My parents are going to a They Might Be Giants concert, and I'll be at home with my sisters. A family member got Shrek the Third from Blockbuster. I haven't watched Shrek 2, and I hear from everyone that StT is bad, full of toots and burps. I'll grin and bear it though. Or wince and bear it.

Burnin' up

I am burning up as my title stated. At least I was burning. Now I'm shivering. I think I've got a fever. Who knows who I passed it onto?
I like pizza, and I've had it three times in two days. Dominoes for Monday lunch (at homeschool connection), Hot'n Ready for Monday dinner. And warmed up Hot'n Ready for Tuesday lunch. I guess that would be cold'n unready.

JK Sighting

Yes my friends, James Knight was spotted today riding in an unidentified black kit near Oak Valley Road. Funny, I haven't seen any of YOU guys riding lately.

A Fierce Battle

The computrainer's fun when you race on it.
Since Dad pleads with me not make hilly courses, I made a course that never exceded a 0.1% grade. It was 7.64 miles and my competetor was pacing me at eighty watts. He(or she) was faster than I thought he (or she) would be. My course was awesome: in its beginning it had multiple switchbacks (on a flat course), and I mean a lot of switchbacks, a lot. I stuck with that guy until about 2.5 miles left and I decided to leave him. I sprinted away from him, and immediately I was far ahead of him. But that wasn't fun so I let him catch up, and readied myself. Upon the last "hill" which had a maximum grade of 0.1%, I charged away for the win.
I then decided upon racing shorter with more intensity. I made a short three mile course and put the pacer at 135. I stuck with him and stormed away from him upon the final "hill", which had a max grade of 0.4%.

I'll go downstairs and break in my speedplays some more.

That's right, a new computer, well it's actually an old computer but its new to my room. It doesn't have internet so I'll still be posting via the living room computer. I like my computer.

Insanity (But cool insanity)

You guys have probably heard of team time trials in the state of Michigan, but probably not 165 mile team time trials. Jamie Smith has some serious connections, and is thinking about ressurrecting this former race. Read all about it here .

For my birthday, I received Speedplay(TM) Zero(TM) pedals, which I am almost used to. In a few days I'll completely have the hang of it.

Six and Two!

Look at us now, at 6-2. The lions are second in their division! This is why I didn't give up on them. Right now they've won the most wins in a season since before Matt Millen became their owner! Might I add, that the season is half over.

Veteran's Park

I was itching to at least spectate a 'cross race, and I finally got to today. A large amount of the riders there were affiliated with AAVC. I saw a lot of familiar faces. I chatted with the Wieczoreks, Zack and Mr. Lekovish, and saw Dmo, Giff, Rich and Mr. Lovejoy. Tony said that earlier on he had read a sign (hand-held) reading "Yea, Bike Boy".
I left in the middle of the "A" race. Thankfully Mom could take me to the race and I'm thankful for that.

I deserve this

After posting that embarrassing video of my Dad, I feel bad about it, so this should make me feel better. Short story even quicker, I am posting this video to embarrass myself.

Doug, if you comment on this post, I am so going to post the video of you at the last crit practice.

Today we rolled. We won the (indoor) game 5-3. The game was easier than the score says. We were playing a U12 team, so we were the favorites to win. A lot of our players that don't usually score much scored. I almost scored when I found myself with the ball at the middle of the field. An opponent came charging at me, so I let loose a long rising shot. The shot nearly beat the goaltender, but it was one foot too high. Oh well, I sense that more chances to score are coming.

Ready for anything

I've got new indoor shoes, and two new balls, (we will decide who gets which ball, me or Maria).
Keep on voting on that poll (about victory salutes), because if the majority of the people vote yes for it, I may consider doing a victory salute after I win a race. I will never do a victory salute for a junior race. Maybe for a cat 4 race, if I hang on.

Here goes

Last night I was trying to post video, so I'll try it again.
